Part-Time Detailer/Lot Attendant

Position Information:

The position will involve showroom quality deliveries of new and used vehicles.  Washing, waxing, dressing tires, windows, vacuuming, license plate transfers as well as lot clean-up, emptying ashtrays, garbage, etc.


Responsibilities:

Prepare vehicles for delivery

Park vehicles in inventory

Change license plates

Install Illinois temporary plates

Run miscellaneous errands for sales management

Assist in ensuring neat appearance of retail facility as needed (pick up litter, snow, clean outside ashtrays and garbage cans

Restock the cleaning products

Keep you work area clean


Qualifications:

Must have a valid Illinois Driver's license with a good driving record.  Be 17 years of age, able to drive a manual transmission, be reliable, and be able to take directions from several people and handle more than one task at a time.  Candidate must also be a reliable team player.


Details:  

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:  3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Thursday:  3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Saturday:  8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Full-Time Service Advisor

Position Information:

The Service Consultant is responsible for scheduling service work in the Service Department and for selling additional needed service to customers. This is a front ? line position that     establishes rapport with customers.


Responsibilities:

Maintain customers satisfaction level established by management

Maintain dealership prescribed standard for hours and dollars per repair order

Understand and follow federal, state, dealership, and local regulations

Ensure that all documents are accounted for

Accomplish the forecast that has been established

Schedule appointments for team efficiency

Communicate with customers to determine nature of mechanical problems

Advise customers on the care of their vehicle and the value of maintaining it to manufacturers standards

Progress checking and selling of needed repairs (providing estimates)

Be responsible for quality control to ensure that work is completed as requested and to reduce comebacks

Excellent communication skills 

Neat professional appearance

Must be organized and accurate 


Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year Service Advisor experience and/or retail customer service

Ability to receive customers with courtesy, efficiency, and enthusiasm 

Knowledge of appropriate telephone techniques

Knowledge of automotive operations

Sales experience

Knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds

Must have excellent listening skills

Valid Illinois Driver's license with a good driving record.


Hours:  Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and alternating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Full-Time Service Technician

Position Information:

The Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repairs, diagnosis and maintenance work as dispatched by their advisor in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards.


Responsibilities:

Determine cause of malfunction through the use of test equipment, test drive, service information (bulletins), and information supplied by customers.

Provide service advisors with accurate information for repairs (cost, parts needed, time, etc).

Review vehicle history files, promote the sales of labor and parts as needed on vehicles.

Report any damage or injury to service m manager immediately.

Maintain regular attendance at shop meetings.


Tasks:

Document work performed and applicable technical information.

Keep work areas clean and organized.

Return Company tools to designated areas daily.

Use all necessary precautions with customer vehicles (safety and cleanliness).

Test drive with customers when necessary to prevent comebacks.

Maintain required production levels 100?110%.


 Qualifications:

Ability to work well with others.

Desire to do tasks correctly the first time.

Goal oriented.

Technical training.

Certification or previous experience in a related position.

Professional attitude and capable of working with customers.

Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance.

Full-Time Service Apprentice

Position Information:

The Apprentice Technician will be responsible for all work assigned to him/her by the technicians or team under whom they are training and carrying out any additional functions as outlined by Service Management.  This is a hands-on-position.


Responsibilities:

Perform repairs as directed.

Attend training, shop meetings, continue education provided by the manufacturers to improve competence level.

Understand and follow Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Road test vehicles to quality check work performed.

Keep shop area neat and clean and able to account for all dealership owned tools.

Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.

Document all work performed.

Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or maintenance work is required.

Diagnose the cause of malfunction.

Maintain CSI level established by manufacturer and dealership standards.


Qualifications:

Applicants must be mechanically inclined; available full time; eager to learn and advance in an automotive 

career; have a valid Illinois driver license with a good driving record; own or be willing to purchase the basic tools needed to perform job duties; and have a reliable way to get to work.  Previous schooling a plus.


Hours:  Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sales Consultant

Position Information:

A Sales Consultant is directly responsible for selling new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.

 

Responsibilities:

Realize the business is built on customer satisfaction and devote themselves to satisfaction.

This position is a 5-day workweek involving some evening hours and every Saturday.
